Digital DJ
One of my great influences and almost the singular reason that sparked the lifechanging event that was 2007 is an Aussie electro house DJ. He opened a website for electronic music and visual artists in June last year - Digital DJ.

Digital-DJ.com.au is about you, and for you. The DJ, the VJ, the performer, the producer, the electronic artist, the lover of music and everyone in between.
He's just started advertising hosting on Digital DJ for musicians with no strings attached. The no strings attached thing interests me, not so much as a 'free' thing to grab but more the psychology behind it. You can see this happen everywhere in this particular generation.

It comes from the premise of Karma I guess (to keep it simple and recognisable). We're here to contribute to society, not take away from it, and thats what's still in most people's heads, especially when it comes to currency.
You may notice that in society most of those that give their all to provide for others aren't incredibly rich but are incredibly happy. It all sounds very 'Disney' and corny but thats just your ego whispering in your head. Ironically enough it's primarily your ego that does want to make other people happy, however the stronger the ego the more you want that happiness to revolve around you, sit back and take stock of why you try to make people laugh, or why you try so hard not to upset another person.
Sure there are exceptions to this rule but thats mainly because different people have a different level of control on their external influences. I guess it comes down to tipping the balance between the conscious and the subconscious and wether or not you are willing to release that control or simply let your life flow.
Perhaps as it was originally intended?
